For the last three years, Jerry has been active with the Reconciliation and Growth Project dialogue group, a group of ten professionals from various sociopolitical and religious perspectives regarding sexual orientation therapies creating guidelines that address ethical and practical mental health practice with those in conflict between their spirituality and sexual orientation. Jerry’s family was LDS, and he served a mission to Rapid City South Dakota and was eventually married in the Salt Lake City Temple. He is a father and is currently a husband with his partner of 20 years. When coming out, he left Mormonism and identified a system of faith that spoke deeply to his soul. Spiritually, Jerry has been mentored in various indigenous earth based systems, including Native American, Andean and Peruvian traditions, and has facilitated ceremonies and guided people in spiritual journeys and processes for the last 20 years.
