Circling the Wagons’ primary long-term objective has been to foster communication and build relationships among diverse community members in hopes of helping the many good people who disagree about the issues surrounding religion and sexuality begin to work together to ease the suffering of the most vulnerable members of the LGBTQ and same-sex attracted Mormon and former-Mormon community.
In an effort at moving the community towards this objective, this full-audience conversation will address topics such as the following:
1) The specific difficulties the most vulnerable LGBTQ and same-sex attracted Mormons and former-Mormons are facing, and the evidence of these.
2) The actions conference participants and family and community members can proactively take to ease suffering and improve the lives of LGBTQ and same-sex attracted Mormons and their friends and family members.
3) The role of working together as we take these actions.
4) The actions conference participants and community members can take to ensure that they continue to listen to each other to better work towards the common objective of easing suffering despite persistent and deep-seated disagreements.
