Adam grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and currently lives in Austin, Texas where he is employed as a research scientist for a biotechnology company. He served a full-time Spanish-speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Houston, Texas. Adam enjoys being actively involved in both the LDS and LGBTQ/SSA communities. In 2010, he helped organize and spoke at a three-stake fireside dedicated to understanding, supporting and embracing our LGBTQ/SSA brothers and sisters. While in graduate school, he served as a volunteer with the St. Louis Effort for AIDS. He currently teaches Elders Quorum in his ward in Austin and occasionally takes his guitar with him on his home-teaching route. Adam has a desire to assist in bringing people of differing backgrounds and ideologies together that borders on pathological. He earned a B.S. in Bioinformatics from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
